Classes
LAMDA Speech and Drama Students follow the LAMDA syllabus and have the opportunity to take exams in Verse and Prose, Acting, Devised Performance, Mime, Public Speaking and Reading for Performance from Introductory up to Grade 8/Gold Medal. LAMDA exams are held at least 4 times a year in the Berkshire/Surrey area.
LAMDA Musical Theatre (Acting, Singing & Movement) Students follow the LAMDA Musical Theatre syllabus and can take Solo, Duo or Group examinations. They have the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills in Musical Theatre - not just in acting, but also in singing and movement. LAMDA exams are held at least 4 times a year in the Berks/Surrey area.
RAD Classical Ballet Students follow the RAD syllabus (Royal Academy of Dance) and have the opportunity to take Graded & Vocational examinations. Lessons can also be taken as a recreational activity. Regular examination sessions are held in Berks.
Pointework For students in Grade 4 Ballet & above. Students will improve their strength and flexibility through stretching and Pilates based exercises. Additionally pupils will do pointework or pointework preparation.
Street/Modern Dance Students have the opportunity to learn some of the best dance moves as seen on TV and Film. These classes are a great way to learn dance, keep fit and have fun at the same time.
Tap Dance Tap has its roots in Harlem, USA. It involves the use of the ankles and feet incorporating different beats and rhythms to music. Not only is it a very popular form of dance but it's good fun too!
Pilates-Yoga-Personal Training A bespoke range of “Well-Being and Fitness” Classes (Pilates, Yoga, Relaxation, Exam Stress Management, and Personal Training) are on offer. Please contact Natalie to discuss requirements. These lessons can be taken in groups or individually.
Contemporary Dance: Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Zumba®. Zumba is the latest aerobics/fitness class to sweep the country. Zumba combines Latin and International music with a fun and effective workout system.
Dance GCSE A new 2-year course will commence in September 2023. (At the Marist School in Ascot). Suitable for students who will be in Year 9 or Year 10 in September 2023. GCSE Results Since 2003: 100% Pass Rate with 95% gaining an A*/A or B grade. For more details contact Natalie.
